Ride the Western Slope around Grand Mesa including the towns of Delta, Montrose,
Crawford, and the beautiful area of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.
Place: Dennis & Marilyn Smith’s home in Cedaredge, Colorado.
Cost: Approximately $80; includes free lodging at the house if you are willing
to sleep on the floor in your sleeping bag, sag vehicle for rides with snacks
and water, and 4 evening meals.
All rides will be from 30 to 60 miles and on the Intermediate Level. There are
climbs when you go towards the Mesa. Traffic is minimal so can take in the
sights. We need someone willing to do the sag duties, which include food
shopping, preparing meals (everyone rotates helping clean up), and one stop
daily midway on the three rides that will be offered.
Wednesday - June 25 - Travel day to Cedaredge. Supper will be provided.
Thursday - June 26 - Loop to Cedaredge Mesa to Redlands Mesa and back to
Cedaredge - Between 40 and 50 miles with climbing.
Friday - June 27 - Out of Crawford - Black Canyon of the Gunnison 50 to 60 miles
with climbing.
Saturday - June 28 - Loop out of Cedaredge to Delta and back.
30 to 40 miles and less of climb back to Cedaredge.
Sunday - June 29 - Travel day back to Denver.
A nonrefundable - nontransferable deposit of $40 will hold your spot
with full amount due by June 1. Trip cancellation can only be accepted
if a suitable replacement can be found. The amount refunded will be
