November / December 2018 DBTC Ride Schedule

Wednesday Leisure Group

These hardy riders continue all winter. Leisure rides are 15-20 miles at 11:00 AM. We will meet when the temperature is 50 or above and trails are clear, for “Show and Go” rides from various locations both south and north. See schedule and watch for emails. We may change the day to a sunnier day if a Wednesday doesn’t look good. For Show N Go Rides those attending will determine the route. Bring a snack and money for lunch at a favorite restaurant after the ride. Questions? Call Lin Hark (303-578-9369. On sunny, calm days, we will ride when temps are in the high 40s or above. We use the DBTC Yahoo Group to remind riders of upcoming rides or any changes. Leisure Ride Leaders feel free to send a message to the Yahoo Group if you would like to schedule an additional ride on a different day or different place.

Weekday Skiing with DBTC

Love to ski or would love to learn? Hate the crowds, the long lift lines, the I-70 traffic and the inflated ticket prices? Loveland is the place for you! This great classic ski area is the closest area to Denver at 57 miles from downtown Denver. DBTC has an active group of skiers who go to Loveland almost every week during the ski season. Discount Loveland tickets and passes are still on sale until November 18th at various Colorado events, at the Loveland ticket windows and online at skiloveland.com Be ready for a great ski season with DBTC! Get on the COBicyclist email list to get weekly reminders of upcoming ski days. This is not a DBTC sponsored activity.

Friday Brewery Rides

We are leaving at NOON since the brewery opens at 1 PM. We will ride north on the Platte Trail, take the Big Dry Creek trail east and then head north on Clarkson. The brewery is near Evans and Pearl in Denver. Total distance out and back is about 18 miles. H1/2 since we are going from the Platte up the Big Dry Creek trail to Clarkson. Fun Plus ride.

The brewery opened in 2013 and when I last checked had these beers on tap: cream ale on nitro, watermelon sour, amber, APA, coffee porter, IPA and a lager. Leader will bring snacks - pretzels and peanuts. We will leave at noon sharp! Pavement must be dry with temp around 50 degrees for the ride to be a go. Cancellations will be announced via Meetup.

We meet at the near the Pedal bike shop at the east end of the parking lot across from the 24 Hour Fitness at Santa Fe and Prince in Littleton. Contact Ellen at outdoorsdiva@yahoo.com with questions.

Stay in touch with your new DBTC friends this winter! The email list is also used for impromptu winter rides, downhill ski trips to various Colorado ski areas, snowshoe, x country ski trips, overnight winter events, parties and more. To join go to dbtc.org and scroll down and click on the link for the Colorado Bicyclist Yahoo Group. DBTC members are free to invite others for their winter outings. Skiing is not a DBTC sponsored activity.
