Tuesday, July 2nd:

10:30 AM, MTB P2, T2-3 Mt. Falcon Park – west lot (Show’nGo). Meet at the Mt. Falcon Park west lot in Indian Hills. Find trail info at https://www.jeffco.us/1332/Mount-Falcon-Park. THE DIRECTIONS: Going west on 285, take Indian Hills Parmalee Gulch exit. Follow Parmalee Gulch Road till just past Parmalee Gulch Park. Turn right on Picutis, follow till right turn on Nambe, then right turn on Mt. Falcon Road. THE FOOD: Mac Nation in Indian Hills (near the Indian Hills Post Office on Parmalee Gulch).


Wednesday, July 3rd:

9:00 AM Leisure Ride H1-15-20-Central Show N Go Ride Meet at City of Cuernavaca Park for a 15-20 mile ride. (Directions: exit I-25 at 23rd Ave, drive past REI and continue north on Platte St about 5 blocks, under the overpass, to the parking lot.) This ride will go in the direction decided by the participants on trails and/or streets. Optional lunch after the ride.

9:00 AM FUN-H2-20to25-SW, Meet Patsy Venema (720.934.3498) at parking near Barnes and Noble, SE corner of Bowles and Wadsworth, Littleton. Ride mostly trails and light traffic streets south and east, into Chatfield and loop back.

9:00 AM FUN-H1-25-SE – Meet Cyndy Klepinger (303-725-1565 or matilda8@msn.com) at the Cook Rec Center parking lot at Cherry Street (between Monaco and Quebec). We will ride a loop on Highline Canal to Dartmouth Street, to Franklin Street to Washington Park. Return on Cherry Creek. This is a no-drop ride.


Thursday, July 4th:

9:00 AM Leisure- H2- 25- W/FUN- H2- 25- W Let’s put a little Green in the Red, White and Blue ride! Join Lin Hark (303-578-9369) behind Beau Jo’s for a slower paced ride from Idaho Springs to Georgetown. This ride is a gentle elevation gain of about 1,000 feet. It is an out and back so you can make your own distance and turn around whenever you think you are “half tired” and hope the wind will be at your back on the way down! FUN downhill! This is one of the easiest mountain rides you will find. Join the festivities in Georgetown -- Parade and BBQ. If you make it to Georgetown we can regroup at the Holiday Parade Mountain Style! The parade runs through the center of Georgetown on 6th Street. Bring a lunch and we can eat at the picnic in town park at noon with the festivities. Faster riders welcome to join -- you know the route!


Friday July 5th:

CANCELLED!!! 9:00AM INT-H2-30-NE Bike Friday Friday Ride - Join Lise Neer (303-249-8621) at Cake Crumbs Bakery & Cafe (2216 Kearney St, Denver, CO 80207) for a spin on your Bike Friday (roadies optional). We’ll ride through Lowry to the Highline Canal, connect with the Cherry Creek trail then out and around CC reservoir. Return via Cherry Creek trail & Kearney. Ride will cancel if raining at start time or if T-storms are forecast.

12:00 PM FUN-H1/2-15-20 SW Meet Ellen (outdoorsdiva@yahoo.com) at 12:00 P.M. just northeast of the Pedal Bike Shop in Littleton (2640 W Belleview Ave #100) for a ride to a local brewery. Meet near the river. Leader will announce the ride details a few days before the ride via Meetup and the DBTC General E-Mail List. BREWERY RIDES WILL NOW BE ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH.


Saturday-Monday, July 6th-July 8th: Winter Park Excursion. One, two, or three days of riding. Saturday we do the famous Tipperary Creek Loop near Fraser, then enjoy music in Grand Lake. Sunday will be an exploration of the trails of the old Idlewild Ski Resort on the east side of the Town of Winter Park. That evening there’s a potluck. And Monday will be a show and go ride near Tabernash on the Strawberry Creek Trail. You’re on your own to find overnight accommodations. There is camping in the St. Louis Campground (a couple miles west of the start of the Saturday ride) and Idlewild Campground (in the Town of Winter Park). And plenty of condos and hotels throughout the Fraser Valley.


Saturday, July 6th:

7:30 FUN PLUS H2-34-SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) at Arapahoe Trailhead Greenwood Village on the south side of Arapahoe Rd, just east of Jordan Road. We will ride out to and around Aurora Reservoir, going north on the South Cherry Creek Trail into the Cherry Creek State Park, then connecting to the Piney Creek Trail east. Bring snacks as the marina store won’t be open early. Near the end of the ride the group can decide on stopping for something to eat at Doug’s Diner or Kneader’s Bakery.

10:00 AM, MTB, P3, T2, 10:00 AM, Tipperary Creek Loop - Winter Park. Meet Alison Preble (720-854-9923, ajbikes@yahoo.com) for a 16-mile loop ride (1,500 ft. elevation gain) on the super smooth singletrack trails west of Fraser. Ride starts with a gentle warm-up, followed by a significant climb to just over 10,000 ft., finishing up with a quick downhill through a variety of stunning landscapes with mind blowing views. Fun, fun, fun! DIRECTIONS: I70 west to exit 232 (highway 40). Continue north on 40 up and over Berthoud Pass and through Winter Park and travel four miles outside of Winter Park to Fraser. In Fraser, turn left on Eisenhower Dr., go over the railroad tracks, and turn immediately left again on Leonard Ln. Stay on Leonard Ln. until it turns sharply to the right and becomes Mill Ave., which soon becomes CR 73 (St. Louis Creek Rd.). Continue on Mill Ave./CR73 for just under a mile to where the pavement becomes a dirt road. Park at the Givelo Trailhead on your right, next to the rodeo arena. This is where we will start and end the ride. Call, text, or email if you have any questions. Route could change a bit depending on how the melt progresses in the next few weeks. Postride: Join Jennifer Saxhaug at Squeaky B’s in Grand Lake for a bite to eat and live music by Peggy Mann. She will be playing from 4pm to 7pm.


Sunday, July 7th:

8:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25 +-NE Meet at Cake Crumbs Bakery, 2216 Kearney St., Denver. Meet Cyndy Klepinger (303-725-1565 or matilda8@ msn.com) at Cake Crumbs for a ride east to Watkins. We will be riding on the road with traffic. Pace will average around 13 to 15 mph.

10:30 AM, MTB, P2-3, T2-3, Idlewild Trails, Winter Park -- Spend a fun day near the old Idlewild Ski Resort, (1961-1986). There are a number of trails in this system, (P2-3, T2-3), that make great loops on mostly singletrack and a little doubletrack, for 6 or 8 or 10 mile rides on such trails as Whoops, Meadows, Serendipity, Arrow, Upper Yankee Doodle, Burnout Loop, Crosstrails and Winterwoods. It is a great area with singletrack, boardwalks, creek crossings and views of the mountains! Maps will be available. Take I-70 West to the US 40 exit, thru the town of Empire, over Berthoud Pass, drive past the Winter Park Ski Resort, and into the Town of Winter Park, approximately 75 miles and about an hour and a half drive from Central Denver. Meet Bob Kochevar (303-870-6833) at 10:30AM, on your bike and ready to ride, at Rendevous Way and Ski Idlewild Rd adjacent to the Rendevous Event Center in Downtown Winter Park. Leave your car in the parking garage just across US 40 on Vasquez Rd adjacent to the Cooper Creek Square, or other on-street parking in town, (if you can find any). Lunch at one of the local pubs/restaurants in Downtown Winter Park. In the evening join in a potluck at Jennifer and Jeff’s place in Fraser.


Monday, July 8th:

9:00 AM FUN-H2-18-SW Meet Wayne Tomasello (720-854-8767) at the Platte River Grill located at 5995 Santa Fe Drive. From C-470 take Santa Fe Dr. exit going north for about 3 Miles. The Platte River Grill is on the left (West) side. Enter the parking lot and drive to the rear of the restaurant and park towards the rear of the lot. We will ride the Platte River trail north to the Big Dry Creek trail to the Highline Canal Trail to the Lee Gulch trail. The ride is on paved and gravel bike trails. An optional lunch is at the Platte River Grill.

MTB, P2, T2, Start Time TBD, Strawberry Creek West Trail (Winter Park), Show’nGo. For those staying to Monday or coming up for the day, let’s explore Strawberry Creek before heading home. Ride begins at the parking lot used for the High Lonesome Hut. Look for the Meetup for more complete and current info.


Tuesday, July 9th:

7:30 AM FUN PLUS-H4-20- W LOOKOUT MTN CLIMB. Meet Cyndy Klepinger (303-725-1565 or matilda8@ msn.com) at the Wooly Mammoth Parking Lot, I-70 and Morrison Road, to test your climbing legs. We will ride thru Golden to 19th Street and then start the climb at your own pace. We will regroup at the Buffalo Bill Museum and then descend down the back side to Hwy 40 and back to the parking lot. Depending on the group, there’s an option to visit the buffalo herd.

10:30 AM, MTB, P2.5, T2.5, Alderfer/3 Sisters Park (Show’nGo). DIRECTIONS: From the traffic signal in downtown Evergreen, go south on Hwy 73 one-third mile to the traffic signal at Buffalo Park Rd. Turn right and travel 2.3 miles to the upper gravel parking lot just past the yellow house on your right. You will pass by the lower paved lot with a sign designating the name of the park. Don’t park there - - continue up the hill. POSTRIDE: Keys on the Green at the Evergreen Golf Course.


Wednesday, July 10th:

9:00 AM Leisure Ride H1-15-20-SW Show N Go Meet at Reynolds Landing (Go west on Brewery Lane at Santa Fe Drive where there is a light. Continue past the Breckenridge Brewery to the big parking lot at the end of the road on the right.) This ride will go in the direction decided by the participants on trails and/or streets. 9:00 AM FUN/INT Show and Go from Reynolds Landing (see above). You can enjoy a ride at a leisurely pace with the Leisure riders or go at your own pace. Lots of options.


Thursday, July 11th:

6:00 PM FUN-H1-18-SE evening “Peak to Peak”, meet Dick & Lynette Shelton (720-934-9824) at Treads Bicycle Outfitters, 16701 East Iliff Avenue, just West of Buckley Rd. This evening, we’ll ride around Cherry Creek State Park and return to Peak to Peak Brewery for snacks and drinks. Easy climbs. Ride pace is family oriented, helmets are required, dress for the weather, and remember to bring water, sunblock, etc. In the event of questionable weather for riding, check the website the day of the ride. www.bicycleaurora.org


Friday, July 12th:

11:00 AM: MTB, P2, T1.5, Flying J Ranch. Meet Mary Sue Dickerson (303-771-0706) on a 1-2-3 Your Choice Ride. You choose if you want to do the two loops at Flying J one, two, or three times. This is probably some of the nicest single track on the front range. Each loop is about 4 miles long. Afterwards we will refresh ourselves at the #1 TripAdvisor rated restaurant in Conifer: Wing Wagon. Besides 10 flavors of wings they have salads, chicken tenders, gyros, hamburgers, Philly sandwiches, fried green beans and beer on tap. To get to the Flying J Ranch: Take the Barkley Road Exit off 285 at Conifer and turn left onto Barkley road. Barkley road ends at County Road 73. Make a right (north) and around 2.5 miles look for the entrance on the left (west).


Saturday, July 13th:

7:30 AM FUN-H2 SE Join Linda Lewis for a ride along the Cherry Creek Trail to the Cherry Creek Farmer’s Market. Take a break to shop, smell the flowers, and enjoy some fresh baked goodies before heading back to Tread’s. Meet at Treads Bicycle Outfitters, 16701 East Iliff Ave, Aurora, just East of Buckley Road.

9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25-NW NEW & IMPROVED WESTMINSTER CLASSIC. Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for an exciting ride full of unexpected twists, turns, and surprises...and now with BRAND NEW TRAILS. We will meet at the parking lot WEST of the baseball diamonds in Westminster City Park. (Directions: From US 36 and Church Ranch Blvd/104th Ave. exit, east on 104th about 1/2 mile to the first left after the Westminster Blvd light, then go LEFT again into the parking lot. The address for the park is 10455 Sheridan Blvd but note again that we are meeting WEST of the buildings and baseball fields.) This ride takes us through the Westminster, Northglenn, and Thornton area, including the Farmer’s Highline Canal, Lee Lateral, and Grange Hall Creek trails.

9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-23-NW Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE HIDDEN GEMS OF ARVADA. We have all experienced the traditional Arvada classic trails of Ralston Creek, Clear Creek, and Van Bibber. Check out this new route instead that explores the Pomona Lakes, the Arvada Fire Fighter’s Park and other forgotten areas and is guaranteed to be an adventure! Meet at the SE corner of HWY 36 and 104th at the back side of the new Black Bear Diner, formally Quaker State and Lube Restaurant (10392 Reed St., Westminster, CO) by a hidden entrance to a hidden trail where the adventure will begin (and end). Possible lunch at Black Bear Diner will follow.


Monday, July 15th:

7:00 AM INT-H4-33-W-2800’ elev gain. Meet 7:00am; Depart 7:15am. Prospect Park/Lookout Mountain Loop. Join Marilyn Choske (303- 905-8510), at Prospect Park, 44th & Robb St., Wheat Ridge, back parking lot near bike path. Ride Clear Creek Trail to Golden and Lookout Mountain. Return to Golden for Starbucks congratulatory you-did-it! stop, compliments of DBTC. Return same route. This ride is rated Advanced in DBTC Ride With GPS Club library due to distance/elevation; leader keeps slow, steady pace with frequent (uphill) stops. Great training ride. Tuesday, July 16th:

10:30 AM, MTB, P2-3, T2-3, Elk Meadow (Show’nGo). Meet in the Buchanan Recreation Center parking lot. THE DIRECTIONS: Located at intersection of Colo Hwy 74 (Evergreen Parkway) and Squaw Pass (Colo Hwy 103). From I-70: Take exit 252 for Evergreen Parkway. Continue for roughly 3 miles to intersection of 74 and 103. Turn left at traffic light; Buchanan Park rec center and Tuscany Tavern are located in this complex adjacent to the softball fields. From downtown Evergreen, follow Hwy 74 up to intersection of 74 and 103. Or load directions to 32003 Ellingwood Trail, Evergreen 80439. THE FOOD: Tuscany Tavern.


Wednesday, July 17th:

9:00 AM Leisure Ride-Dutch Creek Trail Loop H1/H2-19-SW Meet Jill McMahon (303 888-0314 cell) at Reynolds Landing for a ride south and west through Littleton on paved trails and quiet streets. (Go west on Brewery Lane at Santa Fe Drive where there is a light. Continue past the Breckenridge Brewery to the big parking lot at the end of the road on the right.) We will ride on the Platte Trail, through Columbine Valley, Clement Park, the Lilly Gulch Trail and the Dutch Creek Trail. This is a loop ride with an optional lunch afterwards at Angelos. Bring a snack and money for lunch if you plan to join us.

9:00 AM FUN-H1-24 NW Linda’s Social Security Ride Meet Linda Wheeler (419-973-8282) at G”OLD” Strike Park (5500 W 56th Ave in Arvada) and head west on the Ralston Creek Trail eventually connecting to the Clear Creek Trail in G”OLD”en for a 24 mile loop. We’ll stop at a cupcake shop in Golden to celebrate.

Saturday, July 20th:

10:00 AM, MTB, P3, T2.5, Pine Valley Ranch. Meet Mark Shimoda (303-514-6248) at the Pine Valley Ranch Trailhead parking lot for a ride of loops and ups and downs in the trees and used-to-be trees in this Jeffco open space park southwest of Denver. DIRECTIONS: Take Highway 285 (Hampden Avenue) south to Pine Junction. Turn left (southeast) onto Pine Valley Road (County Road 126) and travel approx. 6 miles on County Road 126, to entrance road to Pine Valley Ranch on your right. Follow the entrance road into to the park and parking lot (30400 Crystal Lake Road), about a one hour drive from central Denver). Ride start is at the west end of the lowest parking lot next to the restrooms. Parking lot picnic after ride. Please bring something to share and a camping chair if you have one.


Sunday, July 21st:

8:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25 +-NE Show and Go - Meet at Cake Crumbs Bakery, 2216 Kearney St., Denver. Please check MeetUp to see if someone is leading a ride from Cake Crumbs. If not, it will be a show and go.

9:00 AM FUN–H1–21-Downtown Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this Free Beverage Summer Ride. We will meet at the City of Cuernavaca Park downtown (Exit at 20th Ave going east away from the mountains. Turn right over the bridge onto Little Raven, then turn right onto 19th Street, then right onto Platte River which becomes Rockmont Drive, and go until you dead end into the parking lot) for this fantastic ride down the Cherry Creek Bike Path to the 4 Mile Historic House and beyond. A beverage of your choice will be provided to all riders at the break on the return voyage at the REI Starbucks where we will check out the new landscaped sitting area.


Monday, July 22nd:

9:00 AM FUN-H1-30 SE Meet Wayne Tomasello (720-854-8767) at the Original Brooklyn’s 2644 W Colfax Ave, Denver, CO 80204 (from I-25 take the Colfax exit west to Federal Blvd. go South on Federal to the next light at W Howard place and go left. The ride is on the Platte river trail to the Cherry Creek trail to the Highline Canal to Dartmouth St. to the Platte River trail. It is a ride mostly on paved bike path with some street riding. An optional lunch is at the Original Brooklyn’s.


Tuesday, July 23rd:

10:30 AM, MTB, Staunton State Park (Show’nGo). There are many trails from P2, T2 all the way to P3.5, T3.5. DIRECTIONS: Take US Highway 285 south to Shaffers Crossing, about 6 miles west of Conifer. The actual off ramp sign from Hwy 285 says, “Shaffers Crossing/ Elk Creek Road. It’s 30 minutes from the intersection of Hwy 285 and Kipling to the parking lot. Turn north on Elk Creek Road and follow the signs 1.5 miles to the park entrance. A couple of hundred feet past the park fee station ($7 per vehicle), make a sharp right and go down to the smaller parking lot. FOOD: Bring snacks and a chair for a parking lot picnic. There is even a picnic table. 


Wednesday, July 24th:

9:00 AM Leisure Ride H1-22-SE Meet Cathye Woody (720-530-3940) at the southern end of the parking lot of the First Church of the Nazarene, 3800 E. Hampden (just west of Colorado Blvd) and ride the Highline Canal Trail (hardpack gravel) to the Goodson Rec Center and back. Bring a snack for the ride and money for an optional lunch after the ride.

9:00 AM FUN/INT Show and Go meet same as above and either enjoy a leisurely ride or, if you want to go faster, there are lots of routes you can take from here.


Thursday, July 25th:

9:00 AM Fun H2 about 20 miles N arrive 8:30 and start 9 am Bob Svenson cell 720 331 5169, Meet at Northglenn Rec. center 11801 Community Center Dr. east parking lot: Directions-I-25 north to 120th Ave exit to the right and go two blocks to the signal light. Then right turn (south) and follow the road around to Com. Ctr. drive two blocks past food outlets. Trails: Farmer’s Canal, Signal Ditch, Homestead Hills, Horizon, and Brantner Gulch completing the loop. Optional restaurants near by after the ride. rest stop near 136th and Colorado Blvd or the Kings store there. (main break at Adams County Regional Park-Riverdale and 128th restrooms and water). A few trail areas are uphill!

9:00 AM LEISURE-H1-20-NE. STAPLETON-ARSENAL LOOP. Meet Helen Berkman (720-355-5687) outside Rosenberg’s Deli at Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas St., Aurora, for a tour of Stapleton old and new. From the old control tower to the new high school and from the historic Stanley Hangar to the new bike lane into the Arsenal Nat’l Wildlife Refuge, we’ll check out all the corners of what is now Denver’s largest neighborhood. Lunch afterward at Rosenberg’s.

9:00 AM FUN PLUS H3-25 - NW Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) at Prospect Park for the same ride as Jeff only we will go so the Burn the Blunn over the dam at the reservoir and then sail downhill on the Ralston Creek Trail and back up the Clear Creek Trail to the picnic.

9:00 AM, MTB P2, T1.5, South Table Mountain (Show’nGo) – Meet at Prospect Park. We’ll ride west on Clear Creek and use various trails and roads to access South Table Mountain starting on Ancient Palms Trail. Return by the same route for the picnic. 9:30 AM FUN H2-23-NW Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at Prospect Park for this Pre-Picnic Adventure. We will ride up Easley Road to the Van Bibber Creek and Blunn Trails. Next we will experience the entire Trail of Ralston Creek and return on Clear Creek Trail. We will be rewarded with the incredible DBTC summer picnic fare back at Prospect Park!

8:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-25 +-NE Show and Go - Meet at Cake Crumbs Bakery, 2216 Kearney St., Denver. Please check MeetUp to see if someone is leading a ride from Cake Crumbs. If not, it will be a show and go.


Tuesday, July 30th:

10:30 AM, MTB P2, T2-3 Mt. Falcon Park – west lot (Show’nGo). Meet at the Mt. Falcon Park west lot in Indian Hills. Find trail info at https://www.jeffco.us/1332/Mount-Falcon-Park . THE DIRECTIONS: Going west on 285, take Indian Hills Parmalee Gulch exit. Follow Parmalee Gulch Road till just past Parmalee Gulch Park. Turn right on Picutis, follow till right turn on Nambe, then right turn on Mt. Falcon Road. THE FOOD: Mac Nation in Indian Hills (near the Indian Hills Post Office on Parmalee Gulch).


Wednesday, July 31st:

9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2to3-25 SW Meet Patty Gaspar 303-618-5069 behind the tennis bubble, W Bowles & S Federal in Littleton, ride the Platte River Trail to Chatfield, over the dam then east on C-470 Trail for a mostly gentle climb then across on Clarkson with fun rollers followed a great downhill to Big Dry Creek to finish the loop. Lunch afterwards is at one of the nearby eateries.

9:30 AM Leisure Ride H2-10-W Meet Richard Gieseler and Suzanne Gruba (303-946-8996) at the Mayhem Gulch Trailhead in Clear Creek Canyon on Hwy 6 west of Golden for a ride on the scenic Peaks to Plains paved trail along Clear Creek. Some longish hills with a bit of a grade. Mountain bike gears are good. Bring a snack for a picnic after or during the ride.
